Welcome to Quantumplations ("we," "our," or "us"). This policy sets out what we collect when you use the platform, why we collect it, and the choices you have over it.

1. What we collect

Details you give us

  • Your name and email address
  • Account and billing information, where relevant
  • Prompts, scripts, documents, and images you upload to generate videos, and your answers to the clarifying questions we ask before a video
  • The answers you give in the welcome walkthrough: what to call you and your surname, your age, what brings you here, and how you learn best
  • Contact details: your name, email, the company you name if you give one, and the message you write

Details from Google sign-in

If you create your account with “Continue with Google” rather than an email address and password, Google passes us the following, and nothing else:

  • Your name and profile picture
  • The email address on your Google Account, and whether Google has verified it
  • Your Google account ID, which identifies you on return visits

We use it only to create your account, sign you back in, and contact you about your videos. We request no other access to your Google Account: we never read, write, or store anything in Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Photos, or any other Google service, and we never sell this data, use it for advertising, or pass it to anyone beyond the service providers described in section 4. You can revoke our access at any time from your Google Account permissions page, and deleting your Quantumplations account deletes what we hold.

We ask for this data for one reason: so you can open a Quantumplations account and return to it without keeping track of another password. It is the only access to your Google Account we request, and it is optional: an email address and password does the same job.

Quantumplations’ use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. In particular, we never use this information to develop, train, or improve any AI or machine-learning model, including the models that generate your videos, and we never use it for advertising, transfer it to data brokers, or use it to make credit or lending decisions.

Details collected automatically

  • Your IP address, browser, and device type, in the standard request logs our hosting provider keeps
  • The approximate, country-level location those logs imply

2. How we use it

  1. To generate, deliver, and store the videos you create
  2. To run your account and respond to support requests
  3. To improve the platform and the quality of the service, never using anything received from Google sign-in, which is limited to the uses set out in section 1
  4. To send product updates and, with your consent, marketing
  5. To keep the service secure and meet our legal obligations

3. Cookies and tracking

We set no cookies. Quantumplations runs no advertising networks, no analytics pixels, and no cross-site trackers. Your browser stores one thing for us, held on your device and readable only by this site:

  • Your sign-in session, so you stay logged in between visits

Clearing your browser's site data removes it. Signing in with Google, or paying through Stripe, hands you to those companies for the length of that step, and they set their own cookies on their own sites under their own policies.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share information only with the service providers who help us run the platform, with authorities when the law requires it, and with partners when you have given us your consent.

Here is what leaves our servers to make a video, and to whom:

  • Your request text, your answers to the clarifying questions, and the files you attach are sent to Anthropic (api.anthropic.com, servers in the United States) to write the script and draw the pages. The model reads your documents and images itself, so it sees an attached PDF or picture directly, not only a description of one.
  • Where an attached PDF has a text layer, that text is extracted on our own servers before this step, and is not sent to anyone else to be read.
  • While it works, the model researches your topic on the open web: it can run web searches and fetch public pages. The searches it runs and the pages it asks for follow from what you asked for, so a search engine or a site it visits sees an ordinary request from our servers and can infer the subject of it. We send them nothing about you: not your name, not your email, not your account. Anything the model finds is treated as material about the topic rather than as instructions to follow. Where a picture would genuinely help, it can also download one from a short list of open-licence sources such as Wikimedia Commons and public science archives, and place it in your film; the source and the licence of every picture it uses are recorded with the render.
  • The narration script is sent to ElevenLabs to be voiced.
  • Before we build a video we ask a language model what is still unclear about your request. That goes to Anthropic as well, so nothing about your request leaves for any other model provider. To ask a useful question it is told the age bracket you fall into and what you told us helps you learn, never your name, exact age, or email.

Your account data, uploads, and rendered videos are stored with Supabase. The site runs on Vercel. Payments are handled by Stripe, and transactional email is sent through Resend.

5. Keeping it safe, and how long we keep it

We apply industry-standard safeguards to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise.

We keep your account details and the videos you generate for as long as your account is open. Deleting your account deletes your profile, prompts, uploads, rendered videos, and everything received from Google sign-in; Stripe keeps the payment records the law requires. The request logs described in section 1 are kept for at most 24 months, after which they are aggregated into a form that no longer identifies you.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may be able to:

  • Access, correct, export, or delete your personal data
  • Object to or limit how we process it
  • Withdraw your consent whenever you choose
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority

7. Links elsewhere & children

Our site may link to services we don't control, and their privacy practices are their own, and we'd encourage you to read them. Quantumplations is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
