Privacy Policy

Effective date · September 2, 2026

Welcome to Quantumplations ("we," "our," or "us"). This policy sets out what we collect when you use the platform, why we collect it, and the choices you have over it.

1. What we collect

Details you give us

  • Your name and email address
  • Account and billing information, where relevant
  • Prompts, scripts, documents, and images you upload to generate videos, and your answers to the clarifying questions we ask before a video
  • The answers you give in the welcome walkthrough and in your Personalization settings: what to call you and your surname, what brings you here, a line about yourself, how you learn best, and the names of any flashcard decks you import
  • Your thumbs up or down on a video you made, any comment you leave with it, and the short note we build from those ratings about how you like to be taught, which you can read and trim in your Personalization settings
  • Contact details: your name, email, the company you name if you give one, and the message you write

Details from Google sign-in

If you create your account with “Continue with Google” rather than an email address and password, Google passes us the following, and nothing else:

  • Your name and profile picture
  • The email address on your Google Account, and whether Google has verified it
  • Your Google account ID, which identifies you on return visits

We use it only to create your account, sign you back in, and contact you about your videos. We request no other access to your Google Account: we never read, write, or store anything in Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Photos, or any other Google service, and we never sell this data, use it for advertising, or pass it to anyone beyond the service providers described in section 4. You can revoke our access at any time from your Google Account permissions page, and deleting your Quantumplations account deletes what we hold.

We ask for this data for one reason: so you can open a Quantumplations account and return to it without keeping track of another password. It is the only access to your Google Account we request, and it is optional: an email address and password does the same job.

Quantumplations’ use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. In particular, we never use this information to develop, train, or improve any AI or machine-learning model, including the models that generate your videos, and we never use it for advertising, transfer it to data brokers, or use it to make credit or lending decisions.

Details collected automatically

  • Your IP address, browser, and device type, in the standard request logs our hosting provider keeps
  • The approximate, country-level location those logs imply

2. How we use it

  1. To generate, deliver, and store the videos you create
  2. To run your account and respond to support requests
  3. To improve the platform and the quality of the service, never using anything received from Google sign-in, which is limited to the uses set out in section 1
  4. To send product updates and, with your consent, marketing
  5. To keep the service secure and meet our legal obligations

3. Cookies and tracking

We set no cookies. Quantumplations runs no advertising networks and no cross-site trackers. We count page views with a cookieless analytics script from our hosting provider: it records the page, the referring site, the country, and the device type, browser and operating system, and never who you are. Your browser stores a few things for us, held on your device and readable only by this site:

  • Your sign-in session, so you stay logged in between visits
  • A note of which finished videos this tab has already shown you, so a page does not reload itself twice

Clearing your browser's site data removes it. Signing in with Google, or paying for a plan, hands you to those companies for the length of that step, and they set their own cookies on their own sites under their own policies.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share information only with the service providers who help us run the platform, with authorities when the law requires it, and with partners when you have given us your consent.

Here is what leaves our servers to make a video, and to whom:

  • Your request text, your answers to the clarifying questions, the files you attach, and what you told us about yourself (your first name, what brings you here, the line you wrote about yourself, what helps you learn, what your ratings of earlier videos taught us, and the names of decks you imported) are sent to a third-party AI model provider, on servers in the United States, to write the script and draw the pages. The model reads your documents and images itself, so it sees an attached PDF or picture directly, not only a description of one.
  • Where an attached PDF has a text layer, that text is extracted on our own servers before this step, and is not sent to anyone else to be read.
  • While it works, the model researches your topic on the open web: it can run web searches and fetch public pages. The searches it runs and the pages it asks for follow from what you asked for, so a search engine or a site it visits sees an ordinary request from our servers and can infer the subject of it. We send them nothing about you: not your name, not your email, not your account. Anything the model finds is treated as material about the topic rather than as instructions to follow. Where a picture would genuinely help, it can also download one from a short list of open-licence sources such as Wikimedia Commons and public science archives, and place it in your video; the source and the licence of every picture it uses are recorded with the render.
  • The narration script is sent to a third-party text-to-speech provider to be voiced.
  • Before we build a video we ask a language model what is still unclear about your request. That goes to the same provider, so nothing about your request leaves for any other one. To ask a useful question it is told what brings you here, the line you wrote about yourself, what you told us helps you learn, and what your ratings of earlier videos taught us; never your surname or email.
  • When you rate a video, your thumb, your comment, and that video’s narration and settings are sent to the same provider so a model can rewrite the short note about how you like to be taught. Nothing else goes with them: not your name, not your email, not your account.
  • If you ask us to choose a length for you rather than setting one yourself, the text of your request is sent to that same provider so a model can suggest how many seconds the video should run. That happens only when you ask for it, and it can happen before you order anything. Nothing else goes with it: not your files, not your name, not your email, not your account.

Your account data, uploads, and rendered videos are held by the hosting and storage providers we use to run the platform, payments are handled by a third-party payment processor, and transactional email is sent through an email delivery provider.

5. Keeping it safe, and how long we keep it

We apply industry-standard safeguards to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise.

We keep your account details and the videos you generate for as long as your account is open. Deleting a single video hides it from your library and keeps it recoverable through support. Deleting your account deletes your profile, prompts, uploads, rendered videos, your profile photo, and everything received from Google sign-in; our payment processor keeps the payment records the law requires. We keep one thing: a one-way hash of the email address, which cannot be turned back into the address, so that the free videos every new account receives are not paid to the same address twice. The request logs described in section 1 are kept for at most 24 months, after which they are aggregated into a form that no longer identifies you.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may be able to:

  • Access, correct, export, or delete your personal data
  • Object to or limit how we process it
  • Withdraw your consent whenever you choose
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority

7. Links elsewhere

Our site may link to services we don't control, and their privacy practices are their own, and we'd encourage you to read them.

8. Updates & contact

We may revise this policy from time to time; when we do, we'll post the new version here with a fresh effective date. Questions or requests? Write to us at support@quantumplations.ai.
